We're here to catch you up. Let's get into it. Well, I'm a little tired from all of the uh Summer House um discourse and updates that have been happening this week. But I thought it was important that we should chat about everything that's going on. And it felt like waiting until um the next episode airs would be too long, just because everything, you know, there's so much going on. Are you tired yet?

Of the drama or just like from life in general?

I I saw something that was like, tell the summer house cast to stay inside this weekend, please. We're exhausted.

Yeah, I it's a little bit exhausting. I mean, it's there's also a lot of curiosity and seeing how all this unfolds.

So Yeah. I think it was really interesting. Like I felt like last week's episode, so we recorded right after we watched, and it was pretty intense. Like there was uh multiple kind of shocking moments to see, knowing what we know now. Right. But you know, seeing everybody's reactions after we had recorded was interesting. Like Kyle weighed in being kind of like, you know, it's been hard watching different moments over the last 10 years on you know, watching things back that you don't see when you're kind of in the living it. But you know, WTF, yeah, after watching last night's episode. And KJ posted a couple things too. Um yeah. So everybody was kind of reacting to that. And then Mia was on Watch What Happens Live, which was sh the first cast member from Summer House to appear on it since the scandal news broke.

Um yeah, I guess I should be watching that for research, but I I honestly don't watch it like religiously. So that was the first one that I think I've watched all season, but that was kind of like must-watch TV based on all the drama and seeing somebody inside the house talk about it. So it was it did not disappoint.

Yeah, it was really um riveting. And I mean, Mia is I think Andy said she's had a star turn, and I agree, she's a star, she's awesome, very entertaining. So even without the scandal, it would have been cool to see her on Watch What Happens Live, but she handled it really well. There was a lot of interesting takeaways and fun moments too. Um, Rihanna loves her, and you can tell her that.

Yeah, you could tell her I said that.

Uh but yeah, so Mia was on Watch What Happens Live and a couple of things. Uh Andy asked her if after watching this week's episode and knowing what we know now, does Mia think something was going on between West and Amanda since last summer? And she said she does think there was something going on. So I'm also leaning more and more that way after watching this past week's episode.

I would have gone with whatever she said. Like if she said no, like don't believe the hype or like don't fall for this. Um, I was there in the house, like this absolutely could not have been going on with us not realizing it. So the fact that she said yes, uh, I was like, oh, okay, well, that's it. I'm convinced.

So Yeah. I think Andy asked any what would be your like biggest question for the going into the reunion for them. And she said, you know, what did you guys think was gonna happen? Which I agree. I have uh had the same question. And then he also asked if West or Amanda had reached out to her, and she said, Yes, they've both reached out. West apologized for lying, and she doesn't know how to respond to either of them at this point.

So how do you respond?

I mean, no, I feel like I would be the same way, like I don't know what to say. Do you think that's it?

SPEAKER_01 4:30

Yeah, maybe I would reply and be like, sorry, I'm still processing this. Like, I'll reach out when I'm ready or something. I I don't know.

I would I'd probably just leave it on red. They would see that I read it and didn't respond. Um, so then I think it was, was it Friday morning? Uh Sierra's glamour mag shoot dropped and leave it up to Sierra to have like the most classy way to address the whole scandal because she hasn't really spoken on it other than a few little kind of digs via social media. She hadn't really addressed it at all. Um, so it was cool to see her cover girl for Glamour Mag, beautiful photo shoot, and she had a whole article accompanying the photo shoot. Did you read the article?

I did not. I guess I should.

I was about to be shocked if you actually read the article. I did read the article, so I'm doing the journalism. Uh journalism work. There is not a paywall, so you can't even use that as an excuse.

All right. I'll I'll try to get on that.

Yeah, it seems like she's doing well. And uh she did say just know when something's weird in your gut, there's a reason. What's done in the dark always comes to light, and sometimes you really don't even have to do anything except sit back and let the universe handle it all. So she's mostly just rising above it all. Um, she did say that because they asked her, you know, who is the betrayal worse from? And uh, you know, she and who was she closer to? And she said she was closer to Amanda, but she felt like West and her were working on the relationship. Um, you know, they asked if Amanda is jealous of her, and she was like, I don't know, that's a question for her. And then they asked, I'd like to know who you feel has portrayed you more, West or Amanda. And she said at the end of the day, a guy's a guy. Whether or not West and I are working on a relationship, you just can't put anything past a man, but I just never would think that it would come from someone like Amanda, who has been what has felt like in my circle and in my corner for so long. I think that's the craziest part. So makes sense. And and and I think that is kind of what's at the crux of the scandal in the first place is the friendship betrayal, like West's betrayal of her, not great, but I wouldn't think I don't think it would be as shocking if it was just, oh, now he's dating some other Bravo person or somebody else that you know she knew like socially or something, but to date somebody that has been one of Sierra's close friends and like it's Amanda's betrayal that just makes this whole scandal so shocking to me at least.

And I f and I feel like I don't know, I'm getting kind of tired, to be honest, of the comparison of like who is it more of a betrayal? It's it's two very different, very kind of like screwed up things. Um I feel like it almost lets West off a little bit when it's like, oh no, it's way worse for Amanda.

It's like, no, I mean it's really messed up by him too. Yeah, I'm not trying to let him off the hook by any means.

Yeah, yeah. More shocking. And okay, so also during the week, Kyle was out and about at a party thing, and I think he was DJing, I think it was like a Burger King or slash nine West event, or maybe those were two separate events. I don't know. But he was spotted kissing Megan King from Real Housewives of Orange County.

Um I saw that he was made out with or was dating or whatever, Megan King, but I I honestly I don't I don't know who she is. So she's from Real Housewives.

Yes. And I don't know if they're I don't think they're necessarily dating. Page six said they were seen kind of chatting and flirting at the Nine West party. Uh and then we see this like there's a kind of like a screen grab almost of them kissing, and it looks so awkward because Kyle has his hands like on her shoulders, and then like oh people were like, oh, he's on his tippy toes. She is tall. But I I actually saw the actual video of it, and it wasn't like they were making it out like that. It looked like he like grabbed her shoulders and was like talking to her and then kind of gave her like a little peck. Um, but it w it didn't if they were making out like that, it would have been really awkward when you watched the video in real time. It didn't look quite as strange as the screen grab does, but got it, got it.

That's funny. I mean, Kyle's not like he's not tall, but he's also not like tiny, right? Like he he's like average height.

Let's see. It says that he is 5'11, according to the AI overview.

Is that the same height as Wes? Seems like Amanda's got a type.

Yeah, well she does. Wes is kind of like a worst younger Kyle.

Right. She's just trading in for a younger Kyle.

SPEAKER_00 9:50

Oh, okay. So then Friday night, we're all just minding our business, and Amanda and West show up at the Yankees Kansas City game. Right? It was they were playing Kansas. I'm assuming West is a Kansas City fan.

SPEAKER_01 10:08

Well he was wearing a Kansas City hat, but I yeah, so I'm just assuming, but Yeah, I'm pretty sure.

SPEAKER_00 10:16

You can fact check me on that. And it was really bizarre because I think, you know, some cameraman out there, maybe he's like a secret Bravo not secret, but maybe he's a Bravo fan or she's a Bravo fan camera person, uh, caught them and it I don't think it was like on the Jubotron. I don't know that they knew they were being filmed, but it looks like Amanda like says, like, act like you like me, like that people were you know reading lips and stuff. I can't make it out, but uh when I looked at it, that's it what I thought she said. But so then Wes goes in for like the cringiest, slimest kiss I've seen, just because it's really gross to see them together.

I didn't know how I'd feel, but I do not like it.

Same. Sometimes you like you picture it in your head, but then you see the video of it, and it's like, oh, this is shocking. And that's kind of how I felt. It was like um actually seeing it made it feel a lot more real, and I didn't know how uncomfortable it could feel until I actually saw that. Yeah, like slimy, like you said. I don't know.

Yeah, Kyle reacted, was not prepared to see that and that and that, and then he had like a like throw-up emoji face. Um, and KJ also reacted, and he said something like sicklos, and then he said, Glad Kansas City can still claim me, uh, because the like mayor of Kansas City came out and saying, like, we don't claim West.

It's hilarious. And um, it was Kansas City that they played, and uh, I don't like the Yankees, but the Yankees won, so suck it. West.

Yeah. West also posted while he was at the game, like, I hate my life or something. But I think it was about his team losing, but people were like, Is he already is it already trouble in paradise? During the game, West was cheering and like yelling, and it looked like Amanda was embarrassed of him also and was like pulling on him to like sit down. I don't know. Yeah, it was I saw that it was jarring to see them out and about.

Yeah. Seeing them like try to push this romance like relationship, like their boyfriend, girlfriend, like out in public kind of thing on us. Um, and I say push it on us, like I that is kind of seeing them out in public at a baseball game and stuff like that. That that's you're kind of flaunting it at that point.

Yeah, it it feels odd, wouldn't you think, if you were in their shoes, that you would just like we'll have a couple, yeah, we'll order food in, we'll have a couple game nights with our friends if I still have any friends that want to hang out with me. But oh yeah, so West had a story on his Instagram this week and it was like a picture with his kickball team. And I was I was saying, you know, if I were let's say I was on his kickball team, like I would be like, oh, you know, I'll take the picture. I don't want to be in a picture with you right now. Like I'm like, who are all these people that are willing to be who are willing to be associated with this man right now? Even if you were friends, I'd be like, um, sorry, bro, like I gotta uh save face.

Yeah. But yeah, I think they have a lot of nerve going out to some of the most like I think last weekend they were at some bars in New York City that are really like popular. Then they're going to a Yankees game. Uh and I think people also thought at one point I don't know if it was Amanda, some like the lip readers were also stating she's like, at this point, fuck it. Like about them kind of being seen, maybe kissing or something. But uh at this point, maybe you guys could show a little like I don't know, shame and care for others. I don't know. Maybe they just are going scorched earth at this point. They're just like everybody hates us anyway, so who cares?

Yeah. I like on some level, the the last episode, the way he interacted with that girl like on his lap next to Sierra, where he was like, Uh, I shouldn't be doing this. You know what? It's fine. Who cares? This is fine. Yeah. Like that that's kind of like what their whole relationship is right now. It's like uh whatever, it's fine. Yeah. Poor decisions.

SPEAKER_00 14:46

A lot of poor decisions. I feel like if I were them, well, I wouldn't be in that situation because I wouldn't do that. But let's say, okay, you're in that situation. What's the next thing you do if you are trying to date and you're like, I don't want to like, I don't want to feel like I'm in prison, like I'm a free person, I didn't break any laws, whatever. Go to like some intimate dinners or something, go on some date nights, go to the movies. Right. You don't have to go to a televised event and kiss on camera.

Um what was I gonna say? Oh yeah. Who is the guy that was on Watch It Happens Live like next to Mio?

Oh, he's an actor. Let me look it up. Joel Kim Booster. Oh, he was on loot. That's what I recognize him from.

Sorry. He he did look familiar. Um but anyway, but he had a comment and and you what you said just reminded me of that because he was like, they're like, what do you recommend they do now or something? He was like, Yeah, go back in time and not do it. Yeah, there really is no coming back. Yeah.

Yeah, he also he had like his five questions that he wanted Andy to ask them at the reunion. Let me see if I can find them.

Oh yeah. Yeah, because Mia wasn't answering anything, but like they showed her face on each of the questions that he was asking.

There's okay, let's see. Okay, so I got his questions. So he said, Amanda, how do you feel watching the many scenes of Sierra being a great friend to you this season? Who made the first move between West and Amanda? Sierra, who was the first person to reach out once their like joint statements were posted? Uh West and Amanda, do you owe anyone an apology? And if so, who and why be specific? And then West and Amanda, was any of this worth it? Those were his five questions, which Andy better ask all of them at the reunion.

Right. Yeah. Yeah, those are good questions. Um Yeah, I am super curious on like who initiated it. Cause like, you know, going back on those episodes, we see how flirty and touchy-feely and stuff West is.

Um So I could kind of picture him like, I don't know, who knows how it went down, but um I heard this episode is gonna be even crazier than last week's.

This episode we are re recording right now might get posted around the same time as when the next episode airs, but we have not seen it yet. Um so Sierra apparently did kind of address so there was a picture of her the day that the joint statement was posted of her kind of looking distraught sitting outside of Hermes on the street in New York City. So I did see that she kind of addressed that online this week or weekend, and basically said like she was supposed to be meeting a friend or something for lunch, then she saw the statement and then was kind of like, I don't know what to do, like I can't be in public, and just sat down and said she was like on the phone with Pai, and also her assistant like came over because he was close by. So I think that's why that picture explained it, I guess. I don't know. Uh, but she was kind of just like, I need to be home, but like I can't handle this right now.

Okay, so the only other main note I had that happened this week. So Luke from Summer House.

He's like, Hold my beer. He is running for office uh for to represent the state of Minnesota where he's from. So, you know, no one was wondering what he was up to, but he came out of the nowhere with this uh ad.

This ad is just like him like playing hockey for like five minutes.

I thought the ad was pretty well done.

Yeah, yeah.

Yeah, he's like, he's like, you know, I'm an actor, I was on reality TV, but the real drama that matters is what's happening in Washington or something like that.

Yeah. Honestly, if I didn't know who he was, it's kind of like the Jesse music kind of thing. It's like, um, if this is just like a random ad that you saw and you didn't really know who he was, like maybe be like, you know, guy with a good head on his shoulders or or whatever. Um, but having watched those seasons with him on it, and he just I don't know, he always cracked me up just like he always wanted to like make a fire or like Yeah.

Like remember when he went, was it on Winter House and like tried to tap some trees to make maple syrup? He was always doing the most episode. And then he didn't actually know what he was doing, I don't think.

The ad was well done. And uh of course he was chopping wood. I don't know if you remember, but like he was always like trying to chop wood on some on Winter House at least.

And didn't he like try to make a hockey rink one season of Winter House? Yes.

He definitely did that, yeah. I don't know. Luke, not the not the worst person. I might vote for him if I were a resident of Minnesota. But you know, I don't know what how he compares to other candidates, but his platform sounded like he was all about, you know, helping the working people. I was just surprised, like there wasn't him like forging something. Like he wasn't doing any metal work because wasn't he also wasn't he like making like jewelry out of metal or something? I don't know.

I think I can picture him with like a welder's mask on, so that that sounds right. Yeah. Yeah.

But yeah, that was I I did not have that one on my bingo card. Summerhouse universe keeps giving and giving.

Yeah, I'm looking forward to it. I I think it's also worth noting that we're actively trying to figure out a better name than Scamanda because I think there's it's not a scam. It's it's a scandal.

That's also that's also the name of an existing documentary.

Right. It just it it doesn't work for me, but it's it's not easy to come up with a a better one. So still working on it.

Like they both suck so much that their names don't even go together well for a scandal name. Come on.

Yeah. They don't even have a good relationship name. That's terrible, yeah.
